MEET THE KIX 106 CREW
TY BOYD
Ty
M. Boyd was born in Mineral Wells, TX in 1988. Growing up in a small
town (population: 500), he graduated from Gordon High School along with
his 11 fellow classmates in 2006. He then moved to
Clarksville, AR in
August of '06 to pursue a degree in Radio/Television/Video at the
University of the Ozarks.
Ty began work at KXIO in late October of that year, and has been with
the station since then. He started out as a sound board operator on
Thursday and Friday nights during the KXIO coverage of Panther Football.
However, it wasn't long before Ty dove into the production side of
things at the station. Now, Ty is the main "Production Guy" at KIX, on
top of assisting with Traffic & Billing, maintaining the KIX 106
website, as well as helping out in a multitude of other areas at the
station.
You can hear "Tai-Chi" (as Ron once so eloquently put it) every
Monday through Friday at Noon, along with co-host KC Carrell on the KIX
"Noon Day Cafe" and also every Monday night at 7 p.m. on "The Weekly Top
20 Countdown."
Ty plans on graduating from the University of the Ozarks in the Spring
of 2010. Afterwards, he plans on diving deeper into the field of radio
or even the recording studio side of the music industry. But as for now,
he's here to stay at the home of Today's Hits and Yesterday's Favorites:
KIX 106!
THANKS FOR MAKING KIX 106 YOUR NUMBER ONE COMMUNITY STATION!
