MEET THE KIX 106 CREW

JODY COPELAND

Jody was born October 12, 1966, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A graduate of the Clarksville High School class of 1985, He enrolled at the University of Arkansas and majored in English. He received a BA in English in 1990 and an ROTC commission from the US Army. Jody spent several years as an army officer in the US Army National Guard and received an honorable discharge.

Jody's English degree/coaching endorsement lead to ten fine years of teaching and coaching for the Goblins in Harrison, Arkansas, where they won a state championship in 1999, completing a perfect 14-0 record.

Jody's wife, Donna, is also a teacher and has followed his career path which has taken him from an assistant coach at Harrison to Marvell as a head coach and back to Clarksville as a junior high school English teacher. This is where he recently completed his masters degree in English from Arkansas Tech University. Jody has two children; Christopher, a ninth-grader and Carly, a sixth-grader who attend school at Clarksville.

Jody enjoys playing bass guitar in the band "On The Verge," writing music in his spare time, and he is a member of First Baptist Church in Clarksville.
