MEET THE KIX 106 CREW
DON JOHNSON
"Ace
and Veteran News Reporter" Don Johnson is the News Director here at
KXIO. He started with KIX in August of 1998 and worked as news director
for 5 years. He returned to KXIO in September of 2006, working on a part
time basis as News Director, on top of dealing with community service
programming,
the local weather, and production work.
Don first started his career in broadcasting in May of 1971, where he
worked in Southeast Missouri, in the St. Louis area, and in the Chicago
area before coming to Arkansas in 1994.
Don has lived in the Pope, Logan, and Johnson County area since 1994 and
has worked in broadcasting for several local radio stations, also
including Franklin County.
On top of being Associate Pastor, trustee, and adult Sunday school
teacher at the Fernwood Assembly of God Church in Goose Camp, AR (near
Hartman), Don was commissioned Johnson County Chaplin through Cross and
Shield Ministries in 2003.
Don currently resides in Clarksville, AR with his wife, Aliceann.
